Personality: 

Kerr can be a real, well, you know what sometimes. Much like the lemon, she wears a hard bitter shell, and if break that shell, you get nothing but sour sarcasm and a devil may care attitude. I blame it on years of neglect and now this. She is as stubborn as an ox, and as ornery as a mule. She has always taken care of herself, and has issues with authority, not to mention trust issues. But once you’ve gained her trust she is as loyal as the day is long. Once upon a time she was a playful and happy pup, curious and amazed with the joys of the world, but over time these traits were locked away behind her shell. She is extremely loyal, aggressive when those she care for are in harms way. She can be a total goofball. Loves a good Lemon, or snooze in the sun.


Note: Kerr has a thick southern accent. She is a country dog through and through, and often makes odd remarks, reflecting this; example “….knee high to a grasshopper”

Appearance: 

Kerr is an unusual mix of a Border Collie and a Pitt Bull. She is mostly white, with an array of orange-brown spots, specks, and dots breaking over her coat. Her fur is mostly short and dense, like that of a Pitt, but her tail is long and fluffy, like that of a Collie. She has a lean and muscular build. Her genetics seeming to take the best of both breeds. She fails to have a broad chest like most Pitts, but her lithe, Border Collie-like build holds near the same muscle mass of a Pittie. Her ears are very floppy, only standing if she’s “having a bad ear day”.

Kerr’s left ear is torn from years of living off the streets, and her right flank is scarred from a firework that was once shot at her to chase her away. Other varying scars litter her pelt, though most remain hidden in her fur. She also wears a tattered bandana around her neck, from happier times.

History: 

Kerr has always lived on the streets. As a pup, before the Plague, she had tried her darndest to find a loving home. No one wanted the girl. She was part Pitt. No one wanted a Pitt. They were “too aggressive”. Though this girl just wanted someone to love regardless.

Kerr thought she had found this person, during the start of the Plague, in a small child, by the name of Ryker. The boy was enamored by the stray. He wanted a dog so bad, but his mother had said no, fearing a dog would bring nothing but disease into the household. But everyday she went to this boy’s house, and everyday she would watch him from the yard. And sometimes he’d even get to come out to play with her. Because in the beginning no one realized the severity of this Plague. He was the one who gave her the bandana. He was the one who she loved unconditionally. And the reason for her scars.

It was not long before the Plague took hold of Ryker’s neighborhood, and people began dropping like flies. So the boy was not allowed outdoors anymore. No one was. But still, Kerr came. She came each day to watch the boy through the window. Until someone sent firework out the door after her to scare her off. People had feared the worst, assuming she and animal kind in general had been the origin of the Plague, and not their own stupidness.

From that moment on Kerr turned her back on the human race. She was better off without them. As they were without her. The Plague raged onward. She watched people perish, dropping like flies. Only shedding a tear when the Plague took her dearest friend away from her.
