Name: Mason
Age: 4 years
Gender: male
Group: Fenrir
Rank: soldier
Personality:
Mason is usually very quiet and calculating. Instead of joining in the conversation, he's watching from the sidelines, silently listening in and gathering information. You could say he's become very secretive and distrusting of most others, even his fellow group-mates.
He does have a tendency to be impulsive and often jumps head first into things with out thinking first. This tends to cause problems during missions as he's to quick to make snap decisions. He doesn't so much buck the rules as he modifies him to suit his own plan.
While he tends to be on the quiet side, Mason can be very aggressive when provoked. He's used to having to defend himself and his handler fiercely during his days as a military working dog. He won't hesitate to rip someone's throat out if he feels threatened.
During his time as a MWD, Mason developed Dissociative Identity Disorder as well as PTSD. When he's in a dangerous situation or feels his life might be in danger, his alter, a gray and white Borzoi named Rev, is the one who takes over. Rev is a lot more outgoing and loud, even arrogant. Rev is just as fierce a fighter though and will help Mason get out of tight situations.
Likes... the quiet, being alone, the cold/the snow.
Dislikes... people getting close to him or touching him, loud and obnoxious people, loud noises (certain loud noises can be a trigger for him).
Appearance:
Thick, plush red and white fur covers this dog from head to paw. Being an Alaskan Husky, Mason is a larger dog with thick fur to keep him warm during the winter. The primary color on his pelt is a rich, ruddy red color. His under belly, face, and paws though are a crisp, cream-white in coloration. His eyes are a dark yet vibrant green hue.
Alaskan Huskies are not as much a breed as they are a specific type of dog; a dog capable of pulling a sled. While he has never pulled a sled in his life; Mason does have the muscular build and incredible stamina that these dogs are bred to posses. He has an athletic build with sturdy legs and a strong chest.
History:
Before the plagues/nuclear events that sent the humans running for the hills, Mason served as a military working dog in the US Marines. His job as a mwd was to search out bombs and and lead civilians to safety during ground wars in small towns.
Shortly after his first year as a military working dog, Mason and his handler were captured during an ambush on their camp. They were taken hostage in a small building where he was forced to watch his handler be tortured for information. Mason was allowed to live because they figured he could be retrained to work for them.
They had been captured for 3 weeks when his Handler was finally killed after their captors decided he was no longer of use to them. This was when Mason experienced the fist signs of his DID. His alter, Rev took over and he attacked the guards and fled. He was found by his old platoon and taken back to the US after he was deemed unfit for duty as a mwd.
Got a drawing/picture of them? Link: his off-site ref is here but on-site, I want his markings and colors to be more realistic so I'm working on a redesign. *w*
Comments?: this took a long time omg.
